Andrew Cartlidge
Cabinet Maker & Fitter
Andy has been part of the Precision Made Joinery team since 2019 and brings 23 years of joinery experience to the workshop. He first discovered the trade through his grandad, who was a joiner himself, starting out making things together in the garage before going straight into an apprenticeship after school. He specialises in cabinetry and fitting, particularly enjoys the finishing side of the work, and has the experience to turn his hand to almost anything. Andy is also a great support to our apprentices, sharing his knowledge with patience and care. Reliable, consistent and always happy to lend a hand, he is a hugely valued member of the PMJ team.
Your favourite PMJ moment?
What’s the part / day of your working week you look forward to most?
Midday — you know you’re halfway through the day, and the finish line is suddenly in sight!
Away from the workshop…
What do you enjoy getting up to outside PMJ?
Andrew enjoys spending time with his family, and regular trips to Cornwall and cricket are firm favourites. He also plays for his local team.
Your secret superpower?
If you could have any superpower, what would you choose?
Reading people’s minds — although whether he’d really want to know what everyone was thinking is another question! And if he could be any superhero, it would be Captain America.
