Josh Mizen
Joiner
For Josh, working with wood has been part of his life from an early age. His passion for joinery was sparked by time spent in his grandad’s workshop, where he was introduced to woodturning and began learning the basics from a young age. His dad later followed the same passion and still enjoys woodturning today, so it is a craft that has been passed down through the family. Josh’s own creativity and hands-on approach have developed into a real enthusiasm for joinery. Having recently completed his Level 2 with a Distinction at West Suffolk College, he is continuing to develop his skills at Precision Made Joinery, where he particularly enjoys the challenge, detail and high standards of bespoke work, a fantastic achievement and one the whole team is proud of.
Your favourite PMJ moment?
What’s the part / day of your working week you look forward to most?
Friday night! After a busy week in the workshop, Josh enjoys heading out for a meal with his mates, the perfect way to round off the week.
Away from the workshop…
What do you enjoy getting up to outside PMJ?
Josh enjoys keeping active at the gym, travelling and making the most of time with friends. He is also partial to a good pub, good food and a relaxed meal.
Your secret superpower?
If you could have any superpower, what would you choose?
Teleportation, without a doubt. Josh likes the idea of being able to disappear to Spain for the day, or anywhere else in the world, and simply teleport back in time for work the next morning! His superhero of choice is Batman.
