Toby Spellman
Trainee Joiner
Toby is a practical, steady member of the Precision Made Joinery workshop who enjoys seeing a project come together from start to finish. After completing his Level 2 in joinery at New City College, he joined PMJ looking for a new challenge and the opportunity to develop his skills closer to home. He particularly enjoys the variety of work, the pace of production and, most importantly, the people around him. Toby has a calm, get-on-with-it attitude and is the sort of person who quietly gets the job done. We are very pleased to have him as part of the team.
Your favourite PMJ moment?
What’s the part / day of your working week you look forward to most?
Fridays. Toby enjoys the end-of-week feeling, along with the jokes and banter that come with it.
Away from the workshop…
What do you enjoy getting up to outside PMJ?
Toby has a weekly one-to-one tennis coaching session, which he really enjoys.
Your secret superpower?
If you could have any superpower, what would you choose?
If Toby could choose any superpower, it would be telekinesis — being able to move things simply by using his mind would certainly make life in a joinery workshop interesting!
