Tyler’s route into joinery was, in his own words, something he simply fell into, and many years later, he is still enjoying the variety and challenge of the trade. After travelling, he returned to joinery and began his apprenticeship at 21, following in the footsteps of his brother. With extensive experience behind him, Tyler enjoys the practical nature of the work and the way every project brings something different to solve. He often describes joinery as being a bit like Lego, putting all the individual pieces together to create something that works. Alongside his role as a joiner at Precision Made Joinery, Tyler is also one of the team’s First Aiders, taking on an important responsibility for supporting the safety of the team.

Your favourite PMJ moment?
What’s the part / day of your working week you look forward to most?

Early starts are a favourite for Tyler, as is getting stuck into a productive Saturday.

Away from the workshop…
What do you enjoy getting up to outside PMJ?

Outside PMJ, Tyler enjoys travelling, playing golf, going to the cinema and spending time with family and his nephew. He also enjoys Lego.

Your secret superpower?
If you could have any superpower, what would you choose?

If Tyler could choose any superpower, it would be flying, giving him the freedom to get anywhere quickly. His superhero of choice would be the Hulk.
