Giving Back
WHAT PRECISION MADE JOINERY HAS DONE OVER THE YEARS…
At Precision Made Joinery, giving back to our local community and supporting meaningful causes has always been incredibly important to us as a team. Over the years, we have proudly supported a number of charities and fundraising initiatives, and we are hugely grateful to our friends, family, suppliers, customers and supporters who have helped us along the way.
Our chosen charities have included The East Anglian Children’s Hospice, Tommy’s Journey, and for 2026 we are proud to be supporting The Buddy Bag Foundation as our Charity of the Year.
Our chosen charity for 2026

The Buddy Bag Foundation – providing emergency backpacks filled with essential items and comfort belongings to children who are unexpectedly displaced from their homes due to domestic abuse, neglect or traumatic circumstances. Each Buddy Bag contains practical necessities such as toiletries, clothing, books and toys, helping provide comfort, reassurance and dignity during incredibly difficult times.
As a family-focused business, this is a cause that resonated deeply with our team, and throughout the year we will be supporting the charity through fundraising activities, awareness campaigns and community involvement.
We are incredibly grateful for any support, donations or shares that help raise awareness for this fantastic charity and the vital work they do.
Please follow our social media channels throughout the year to see how you can get involved and support our Charity of the Year initiatives.

Our chosen charity for 2024
Team PMJ have supported various children’s charities in the past, so it was an easy decision to support this wonderful charity for the duration of 2024. We walked 20 miles from Bures to Clare, among other charity events.
We were so pleased to raise in excess of £2,300, well above our target, special thanks to all that helped us support this charity.

Our chosen charity for 2021/2022
In 2021/2022 the PMJ Team were Doing it for Daisy, a charity especially close to one employee’s heart. As our fundraising efforts were during various Covid lockdowns, we decided to complete a virtual challenge from John O’Groats to Lands End. We also ran a virtual Christmas Raffle where we were inundated to great prizes from some very generous local businesses.
We were so pleased to raise in excess of our our target of £3,000 and we hold special thanks to all that helped us support this charity.

The Whole Hog for the Rainbow Trust
In the Autumn of 2019, the PMJ Team went the ‘Whole Hog’ in aid of the Rainbow Ward, at the West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, through the My Wish Charity. We tasked ourselves with a 5 mile mud run that included over 30 obstacles for a charity that was very close to all our hearts. The Rainbow Ward is the main provider of Children’s services for the West Suffolk region, catering for a population of 50,000 children and so every penny makes a difference.
Thanks to clients, suppliers, friends and family, we managed to raise in excess of £2,000 and as a team we had a giggle in the freezing cold, slippery mud too!
